‘It’s My Right To Not Answer,’ said Mahesh Bhatt in response to the Kerala Story

The Kerala Story has been in the center of debate since a contentious accusation about Love Jihad and the radicalization of Hindu women by Islam. The public has been split into two groups, one of which supports the movie while decrying it as propaganda. While some, like Vivek Agnihotri, have applauded the Kerala narrative, many celebrities, including Anurag Kashyap and Kamal Haasan, have criticized it.

As a result, media outlets do not pass up the opportunity to ask famous people about the movie. Others attempted to get a response from Mahesh and Vikram Bhatt on the movie, but they evidently picked the wrong moment.

In order to promote the forthcoming movie 1920: Horrors of the Heart, which is being directed by Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt have been seen at a number of events. They were questioned about The Kerala Story by a journalist at one of the advertising events. Mahesh Bhatt preferred to sidestep the question, while Vikram Bhatt chose to ignore it. According to Vikram Bhatt, he won’t promote any other movies while their movie is being promoted.

Mahesh Bhatt responded in a way that had everyone in splits as the reporter attempted to pursue the issue further. Look, it’s your right to ask questions, and it’s also our right to decide not to respond, he added. He said that it was crucial to concentrate entirely on the film’s marketing and avoid bringing other topics into the promotional activities since 1920: Horrors of the Heart didn’t have a large celebrity cast.

1920: Rahul Dev and Avika Gor of Balika Vadhu fame appear in Horrors of the Heart. On June 23, the fifth installment of the 1920 series will be released.
