Kriti Sanon publishes a BTS video and discusses her demanding preparation for “Ganapath”

Actress Kriti Sanon is now making her debut as a standalone action star. She shared a behind-the-scenes video detailing her demanding training regimen for her forthcoming film, “Ganapath,” in which she is playing the part of Jassi.

Kriti showed several moments from her training to show how much she had to learn in order to be in top shape for the sci-fi action movie. In addition to strenuous fitness drills like iron body, intense stretching, aerobics, and more, this included the use of nunchucks, martial arts, riding a dirt bike, kickboxing, and more.

The actress said, “I’ve been dying to do action on-screen and I was supposed to use nunchucks as my main weapon.”

In response, her trainer said: “Since her wrist was so thin, we had to open it up. So I trained her with a Shaolin staff before giving her the nunchucks.

Kriti quickly mastered the weapon after learning how to utilize a long staff in order to open her wrist, firm both her grasp and develop balance.

“This is the first time I’ve ever done action, (laughs), but I knew I had a very long way to go,” Kriti said. You must first perfect the technique of utilizing each weapon before employing it. As a result, it must come quite readily to you.

Kriti was then shown in other training films engaging in kickboxing, mixed martial arts, striking, and sprinting.

She went on to describe other aspects of her training, stating: “Aside from nunchucks, I also conducted kickboxing training. Additionally, I was required to ride a dirt bike despite the fact that I had never even learned to ride a bike before.

Before the team began training in Ladakh, where the bulk of the sequences were filmed, the movie featured different moments of her just attempting to ride a regular bike. But eventually, the ‘Adipurush’ actress managed to get the feel of it.

“Riding a normal bike, or a heavy bike, or even a bullet is fine,” she added, describing her cycling training. “But a dirt bike is very tall, and you know I’m saying that.”

Regarding her role as Jassi, the actress was seen practicing various knife and combat sequences in the studio with her instructors.

She remarked: “Jassi’s persona is established in such a manner that is simply so strong, seductive, rough, and raw. That’s all there is to say, you know.

She joked before yelling a little in agony as she was being pushed by her trainer, “He believes I don’t have bones. He believes that everyone is a tiger.

The video ends with her character’s movie sequences and the “Ganapath: A Hero is Born” announcement.

Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Amitabh Bachchan are the film’s three main actors, while Vikas Bahl is the director. It will premiere on October 20, 2023, in theaters.
