‘Love Story’ was ahead of its time and had nothing antiquated, according to Mishal Raheja

When Anurag Basu’s “Love Story” was broadcast 16 years ago, the story of Aakash Sehgal and Shruti Shekhawat had a profound effect on everyone. ‘Teri yaadein’, whether it be the plot, characters, or even the song, quickly gained a lot of attention. Aakash’s actor Mishal Raheja recently reminisced about the role and explained why it’s so relevant now.

In an open interview with IANS, Mishal said that even 16 years after the show’s 2007 debut and 2008 cancellation, people still approach him to discuss it.

“Every time I leave Bombay, one of my admirers must bring up ‘Love Story’. I constantly experience it. People continue to bring up that Love Story to me,” stated Mishal.

Would he approve of the broadcast of the show? Immediately, Mishal said, “Yes. At that time, we were ahead of our time.

If it’s rereleased, will it function with Gen-Zers?

There is nothing antiquated about that program, the actor said, so I believe it will work. That program will appeal to people of all ages. What I discovered is that, by God’s favor, every nation has achieved the top rank in Laagi Tujhse Lagan. There is nothing dated about these programs. Therefore, they may certainly compete on a stage where, according to statistics, people between the ages of 12 and 25 would be present.

When asked why the program at that time had such a large following, Mishal explained: “The channel was a young channel and the youth got to see it fortunately. I don’t believe it would have had the same effect 16 years ago or on the generation if it had been a GEC or a larger channel. We continue to discuss it.

The actor remarked, “So, everything was really fortunate for the program at that time.

The characters and the plot were just a small part of the program. The title tune and other tracks were equally significant.

Mishal related a narrative about the show’s title song, which was a Romeo-and-Juliet-style violent love story set in modern Delhi.

The actor gives the title track to director Anurag Basu.

He hired several talented, quick-moving Bengali musicians. Additionally, Anurag Basuji has a wonderful ear for music. He would write the Hindi lyrics by himself. The type of work he performs is astounding. He is an expert in his field.

Basu, according to Mishal, “knew the kind of show that was required for the youth and to make such an impact on the youth.” He had a good plan for the dramatization.

Additionally, the actor said that he “unfortunately hasn’t been in touch” with Shruti co-star Paayel Sarkar. Nevertheless, he has maintained contact with Ajay Chaudhary, who portrayed Dev and numerous other characters on the program.
