“My co-actress Trisha, forgive me,” said Mansoor Ali Khan in a statement that was made public. May God grant me the privilege of seeing your wedding.

Mansoor Ali Khan was summoned by the Thousand Lights, Chennai, All Women Police Station (AWPS) for failing to show up at the station.

Acting on a directive from DGP Shankar Jiwal, the Chennai City Police arrested the actor for reportedly uttering disparaging statements against Trisha Krishnan.

The Tamil Nadu police were instructed to file a complaint against the actor by the National Commission for Women, which had already taken suo motu note of the issue.

Mansoor Ali Khan asked for extra time after being called, claiming to have a throat illness.

Sections 509 (word, gesture, or act designed to offend the modesty of a lady) and 354 A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code were used to charge the actor.

Mansoor Ali Khan allegedly expressed his want for a rape scene in “Leo,” featuring Trisha, referencing incidents from his previous films with actors like Khushboo and Roja, in a video that went viral on social media.

“When I found out that Trisha and I were working together, I assumed the movie would have a scene in a bedroom. I believed that, like I had done with other women in my previous films, I could bring her into the bedroom. I’ve performed in many rape scenes in films, so this is nothing new to me. However, on the Kashmir schedule, these folks allegedly failed to even show me Trisha on the sets,” Khan allegedly said.

Trisha and Mansoor Ali Khan have important parts in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film “Leo,” however they do not share screen time.

On the microblogging platform X, Trisha responded to Khan’s comments by writing, “I have come across a recent video in which Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken in an abhorrent and disgusting manner about me.” This is sexist, insulting, misogynistic, disgusting, and in poor taste, all of which I vehemently reject. He may keep hoping, but I am happy that I have never had to share screen time with someone as pitiful as him, and I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen for the remainder of my cinematic career. People like as him damage humanity’s reputation.

Khushbu Sundar, a BJP politician and member of NCW, also took issue with the actor’s remarks, writing on X, “Nobody can get away with such a filthy mind.” I disagree with this man’s sexist and repulsive remarks about myself and other coworkers, and I stand with @trishtrashers. These males are a disgrace to our society when we are battling tooth and nail to defend women and restore their dignity.
