Nana Patekar loses it and hits the sneaky Varanasi fan who is trying to take a selfie

at a viral video that surfaced on Wednesday, renowned actor Nana Patekar, who is always calm, seems to have lost his cool during a public engagement at a Varanasi market.

In the video, Patekar is shown sporting a brown check suit, a scarf, a fawn-colored hat, and a thick salt-and-pepper beard while grinning and waving to his followers.

Unexpectedly, a bothersome fan approached from behind, briefly stood next to Patekar (ostensibly too near for him), and lifted his phone to take a photo.

The teenager’s audacity infuriated Patekar, who struck him on the back of his head. The lad then surged forward, but a security guard grabbed him and shoved him out of the way.

Patekar turned back as the young man was being hauled out, perhaps to give other prospective admirers a gentle reminder not to engage in such behavior.

Social media users’ responses to the little altercation were divided; some sided with the adolescent, while others praised the 72-year-old actor. One user even gave Patekar some advice, telling him “to show this anger in reel life, not real life.”

Patekar is now in the holy city filming “Journey,” the next feature directed by Anil Sharma.

The 10-second viral video shows the path that leads to Dashashwamedh Ghat, the location of his next movie shoot.

In “The Vaccine War,” directed by Vivek Agnihotri, Nana Patekar was last seen.

With Prakash Jha’s political thriller “Laal Batti,” Nana Patekar will shortly make his OTT debut.
