On his 100th movie, “Bhaiyya ji,” Manoj Bajpayee said, “I never thought I’d be able to do even 10 films.”

Mumbai on May 9. Padma Shri awardee Manoj Bajpayee said that he never imagined he would be able to make even ten films. He is getting ready for the release of his 100th film, “Bhaiyya Ji.”

The actor conducted interviews with the media on Thursday for the movie’s trailer debut in Mumbai’s Andheri neighborhood. He mentioned how fortunate he feels to have arrived in his current position.

At the risk of coming off as conceited, Manoj reminded the assembled masses of the media that although many artists put in a lot of effort every day, it is the audience’s affection that has enabled and empowered him to deliver the tales he chooses to convey as an actor.

“I never imagined making beyond ten movies, but life has been so kind to me that I’m now working on my 100th movie. Not that I work alone—all artists put in a lot of overtime every day—but I am only in this position because of God and my audience.

Manoj has had a very spectacular film career. Following his unsuccessful application to the National School of Drama, he studied acting with Barry John. Since their days in theater, Manoj and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan have been close friends since they had the same mentor, Barry John.

Thirty years ago, Manoj made his film debut in the highly renowned “Bandit Queen,” in which he had a supporting role. After that, he attracted the notice of Ram Gopal Varma, who finally chose him to play Bhiku Mhatre in the beloved classic “Satya,” a movie that upended the conventions of Hindi cinematic narrative and facilitated the growth of indie filmmakers.

Manoj, who has been in the industry for thirty years, is about to play a desi action hero in the film “Bhaiyya Ji.”

The movie, which is slated for release on May 24, 2024, is being produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee, and Vikram Khakhar under the auspices of Bhanushali Studios Limited, SSO Productions, and Aurega Studios.
