On Mother’s Day, Mohanlal shares a throwback picture with his “Amma.”

A recent setback for Malayalam actor Mohanlal was the unfavorable reaction to his film Malaikottai Vaaliban. Touted as one of the most anticipated Malayalam films of the year, the historical action drama starred Mohanlal as an ace arena fighter and was heavily marketed. The film, which was produced on a budget of Rs 65 crore, could not even recoup half of its budget due to criticism of the directing and the poor fighting sequences; as a result, its theatrical run ended at a loss of Rs 35 crore. The actor celebrated Mother’s Day two days ago by dedicating an Instagram story to his mother, putting the failure of Malaikottai Vaaliban behind him.

The seasoned actor posted a touching flashback image on his Instagram Stories, taking viewers on a trip down memory lane. A touching moment between him and his mother, Santhakumari Nair, was recorded in the monochrome photograph. The actor was seen in the sentimental photo standing proudly next to his graceful mother, who was sitting in a classy chair and wearing a traditional saree.

A brief but profoundly significant message read, “Happy Mother’s Day,” which perfectly captured the sentimental picture and the man’s love and thanks for the lady who has unquestionably been his guiding light throughout life. A solitary heart emoji lent warmth and fondness to the poignant remembrance.

Notably, Mohanlal posted the same picture at a Mother’s Day event back in 2021. View the attached image.

Mohanlal’s huge blockbuster from the previous year, Jailer, starring Rajinikanth, also had a lasting effect on the Tamil public. He had a lengthy appearance in the movie, and his performance was well-received. The actor is working on a number of projects right now. He has started shooting his 360th picture, which is still untitled and stars actor Shobana. Tharun Moorthy is the director of this movie. He also gets the Kannappa of Vishnu Manchu prepared.
