Photograph: Celebrating Actor Darshan and Vijayalakshmi’s Wedding Anniversary in Dubai

Kaatera, the highest-grossing Kannada movie of the year and the seventh-highest-grossing Kannada movie ever, was a smash blockbuster for Kannada actor Darshan last year. Darshan is now filming Devil: The Hero, his next movie, back-to-back schedules after the success of Kaatera.

Darshan, however, had to take a break from filming a few days ago to heal from a hand injury he sustained during filming a scene. It seems that the actor is now celebrating his wedding anniversary by taking advantage of the gap in his filming schedule to take a holiday in Dubai.

To commemorate their wedding anniversary, Darshan and his wife, Vijayalakshmi, took a quick trip to Dubai. From the airport itself, Kannadigas residing in Dubai extended them a warm welcome. Near family and friends joined the festivities, which took place at a lavish hotel in Dubai. Vijayalakshmi posted pictures from the festivities, and they quickly became popular on social media.

Even though the pair had a great time commemorating their wedding anniversary, it seems that Vijayalakshmi’s Instagram Story posts provoked a response from Pavitra Gowda, with whom Vijayalakshmi had been at odds for some time. There have been rumors that Pavitra has dated Darshan in the past. In January, she shared photos of herself with Darshan to commemorate their ten years of dating.

Darshan’s wife took offense at this and responded by criticizing her in a post for making such remarks about a married lady. Just one hour after Vijayalakshmi posted her anniversary photos, Darshan discussed “Karma” in an old interview that was uploaded by Pavitra to promote his movie Kranti. Speculation among fans suggests that this was a reaction to Vijayalakshmi posting pictures from her anniversary.

After 20 years of marriage, Vinish is the son of Darshan and Vijayalakshmi.
