“Pippa” Trailer Released: See The Epic Account Of The Battle of Garibpur Featuring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur

With an engrossing teaser for the movie, Prime Video announced on November 1st that “Pippa” will be available for streaming directly. This Diwali, the movie is supposed to be out on November 10. “Pippa” tells the gripping account of a critical historical episode that occurred in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistan conflict and was crucial to Bangladesh’s independence movement: the Battle of Garibpur.

Ishaan plays real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta in the film “Pippa,” which also stars Soni Razdan, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli in important supporting roles. Menon, Tanmay Mohan, and Ravinder Randhawa wrote the screenplay for the movie, which is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s book “The Burning Chaffees.” This tale of sacrifice and patriotism is set against the melancholic background of master A.R. Rahman’s soul-stirring music.

The name of the action thriller comes from the amphibious combat tank known as the PT-76 (Palavushi Tanka), sometimes dubbed “Pippa,” since it resembles an empty ghee can that floats on water. This wartime tale follows the maturation of 45 Cavalry Tank Squadron Captain Balram Mehta (played by Ishaan), recounting a tale of bravery and loyalty. In fighting for the freedom of another nation, Balram Mehta and the Indian Armed Forces redefine what it means to be a hero. They are the epitome of valor and fortitude. The teaser transports us to the eastern front of the Indian army during the Battle of Garibpur. When their captain was killed in the operation, Captain Balram Singh Mehta took over as head of the squadron. He fought on the front lines of the conflict with his siblings, playing a crucial role in India’s pursuit of victory. Bangladesh was freed because Indian troops gave it their all, with the battle cry “We fight like soldiers, kill like soldiers, and die like soldiers” serving as a rallying cry.

“After reading Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s book ‘The Burning Chaffees,'” director Raja Krishna Menon said, “I was absolutely certain that this inspiring and lesser-known story of triumph needed to be shared with the world.” By bringing to life this obscure tale from our rich past, I think we have succeeded in paying fitting honor to our military services. In addition to being eternally thankful to Ishaan, Mrunal, Priyanshu, Soni Ji, the whole crew, and every member of the cast who gave it their all, I would like to thank Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala for believing in my vision. I’m sure Pippa will be warmly accepted by viewers in India and throughout the globe thanks to Prime Video.

directed by Raja Krishna Menon and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the auspices of RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films.
