Pongal Releases: 8 Big Films This Festive Weekend, Merry Christmas To Captain Miller

Delhi, New: Indian homes are expected to be joyful during the approaching Pongal / Sankranti celebration. Particularly for cinema buffs, it will be twice as enjoyable. You may wonder, why? This week, eight movies with actors from all around the country are showing on huge screens. Not just one or two, however. This celebratory week is nothing short of a visual feast for movie buffs, with everything from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram to Dhanush’s Captain Miller and Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas. Here is a list of movies that are showing in theaters this week in case you were wondering which ones to check out:

1. Happy Holidays – January 12

Unquestionably the maestro of the suspense genre, Sriram Raghavan, is back with a Pongal delight called Merry Christmas. The film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, two celebrities who are entangled in a web of secrets, murder, and passion. In addition, Tinnu Raaj Anand, Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Radhika Apte have significant parts in this concurrently Tamil and Hindi-shot film.


2. January 12th – Guntur Kaaram

Superstar Mahesh Babu is back, this time helmed by Trivikram in an action-packed movie. In addition to Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and Ramya Krishnan in significant parts, Guntur Kaaram stars Sreeleela as the female protagonist. Mahesh Babu is showing off his action and famous charm in the teaser.


3. January 12th, Captain Miller

Starring in the 1930s era action movie is Dhanush. Captain Miller, written and directed by Arun Matheswaran, tells the story of a rebel commander who is compelled to speak out when things don’t go as planned. The teaser for one of Dhanush’s most eagerly awaited movies in the recent past has fans captivated.


4. January 13 Saindhav

Saindhav, which is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu, is Venkatesh Daggubati’s 75th film. A drug gang and a hero fighting against time to stop them are hinted to in the teaser. Jisshu Sengupta, Andrea Jeremiah, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui [making his Telugu debut] are also featured in the film.


5. January 12 – Ayalaan

Rakul Preet Singh plays the female protagonist in R. Ravikumar’s sci-fi flick Ayalaan, which stars Sivakarthikeyan. The narrative centers on an extraterrestrial who visits Earth and befriends humans. The most awaited film in the Pongal lineup, it is produced by KJR Studios and has music by AR Rahman.


6. January 12th, Hanu Man

Hanu Man, a film by Prasanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, is a superhero introduction from India that takes place in the made-up hamlet of Anjanadri. Even though good and evil are central to the story, the trailer looks amazing and full of surprises. The movie is the first release in the cinematic universe of Prashanth Varma.


7. Objective: Section 1 – January 12

Mission: Chapter 1, an action thriller helmed by AL Vijay, marks Arun Vijay’s comeback. Nick Khan, Tygorah Smith, Amy Jackson, and Nimisha Sajayan are also in the cast. The protagonist of the tale is a prisoner who is desperate to get out in order to see his ailing daughter.


8. January 14th, Naa Saami Ranga

Naa Saami Ranga, directed by Vijay Binni, is a remake of the 2018 Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose, with Nagarjuna playing the main character. The movie is partially based on actual incidents that happened in Thrissur, Kerala, in the 1980s.
