Pop meets cricket as Dua Lipa speaks candidly with Shubham Gill and KL Rahul

Cricket players Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Kane Williamson had an open discussion with music sensation Dua Lipa in an unexpected and unexpectedly enjoyable occasion. They both asked her some odd questions that truly took her off guard.

The exchange took place just before India’s pivotal World Cup semifinal matchup against New Zealand. Before this momentous occasion, Shubham Gill asked her what song she would like to sing at a cricket match, and K L Rahul inquired about her preferred jersey number.

“Jersey numbers are really important to us players,” KL informed her. My jersey number is one because I believe that in order to succeed in everything I do, I must be the best at it.

She praised KL’s logic, saying, “I really like that.” KL, if I had to choose a number, I would choose 22. My lucky number is that one.

Shubman Gill, however, pulled off the ultimate shocker when he asked Dua which song from her repertoire she would like to play at the start and finish of the ICC World Cup 2023 closing ceremony.

Even though Dua was a little surprised by the question, she said, “I think because it is a sporting event, I’d have to go with ‘Physical’ because it is only fitting.” Then “One Kiss” during matches usually seems to go well. There are also a few of my most recent tunes there.

She was also questioned by Kane Williamson about her all-time favorite song. “I think it really changes, night after night,” she retorted. It goes without saying that “Levitating,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Physical” are enjoyable to execute. But then, “Pretty Please” and “Love Again” have to be my two favorites from my most recent tour. Those were a lot of fun.

Dua’s most recent song, “Houdini,” which has a disco-inspired melody and incorporates a number of well-known dance movements, has become very popular on the internet. This song’s popularity has led to it becoming a “global chartbuster,” as it received 27 million views in only five days.

This was a unique occasion for cricket and Dua Lipa fans worldwide, since it brought titans from two distinct sports together in one place.

Disney+ Hotstar and Star Sports both broadcast the World Cup.
