Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor are “in touch” for a movie after Sanju, their last big-budget collaboration

Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani collaborated on the 2018 movie Sanju. The director spoke about working with Ranbir once again in a recent interview with India Today. Rajkumar said that he would “definitely love to do another film” with Ranbir, with whom he has only collaborated on the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The actor has been enjoying the success of Animal. Since its December 1 release, Animal has made ₹541.87 crore nett in India and ₹885 crore internationally, according to a recent report by Sacnilk.com.

“I have a few scripts with me, and we communicate.”
Regarding his collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani said, “Ranbir is an absolute sweetheart.” We really enjoyed creating Sanju. Of course, I would like to work with him on another movie. We are in contact and I have a couple of scripts with you. So let’s see how this develops. Occasionally, you may begin writing a screenplay and find that it stalls, just to pick up steam again and turn into something. I do, in fact, adore Ranbir (smiles).

According to a report by Sacnilk.com, Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic Sanju, which is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt and stars Ranbir Kapoor in the main role, made ₹342.57 crore net in India and ₹588.5 crores internationally. Paresh Rawal portrayed actor-politician Sunil Dutt, Sanjay’s father, in the film Sanju, while Manisha Koirala portrayed actress Nargis, Sanjay’s mother. Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh, and others were included in the movie.

In addition to its box office receipts, Sanju received accolades for Ranbir Kapoor’s performance. In a 2018 media interview, his then-girlfriend, star Alia Bhatt, said of Sanju, “I really liked it.” It’s an amazing, wonderful, and superb movie. Sanju is definitely at the top of my list of the top ten best movies. Ranbir does a fantastic job in it. Additionally, Vicky Kaushal and Paresh ji (Rawal) performed well. Everyone performed really well, including Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. It is a comprehensive set.
