Regarding working with Nana Patekar, Dishaa Jhaa said, “His focus and sense of perfection have stayed with me.”

Dishaa Jhaa, the daughter of filmmaker Prakash Jha and actress Deepti Naval, is producing her first series on a major OTT platform with “Sankalp.” She spoke about her experience working with the renowned actor Nana Patekar, mentioning how much she loved his mutton dishes.

As a wardrobe assistant for the movie “Raajneeti,” Dishaa made her cinematic debut. Previously, she produced the film “Fraud Saiyyan.”

Since he was among the first to visit her when she was born, she said that the elder actor is like family to her.

“Working with him on ‘Raajneeti’ was a different experience because I was a costume assistant then and ran around the set to take costume continuity pictures,” she reminisced. Additionally, he was always meticulous in maintaining the consistency of any outfit, down to the precise hand and side of his angrakha. He always knew whose hand he was grasping before I could verify, so sometimes I had to go back and look again at the photos. His attention to detail and meticulous nature have stuck with me and have greatly influenced me.

She went on to discuss her experience collaborating with him once again as a producer on “Sankalp.”

“It wasn’t all that different during the ‘Sankalp’ shoot either,” she said. He always understood continuity, in contrast to the young costume helpers who I used to see struggle with it.

She went on to say, “He enjoys being around people and has the heart of a kid. I doubted that he would return to his conceit. On set, he used to share meals with everyone. I made sure that everyone, even the spot guys, had eaten. Along with loving eating, he also liked cooking. He used to prepare mutton with great affection for the ADs, techs, and other actors on the crew, and he loved to sit and joke about with them.

“It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with actors that I have grown up around,” she said. It doesn’t feel at all like labor. We spent around 30 days filming with Nana Sir, but we were having so much fun that the time passed pretty quickly, and before we realized it, he was heading off the set at the scheduled wrap.
