Sam Neill discusses his fight with blood cancer

Sam Neill, who starred in Jurassic Park, surprised his admirers when he revealed in his biography that he had battled stage-three blood cancer. The actor claims that the sole reason he began writing the book was to pass the time while receiving cancer treatment. In March 2022, Sam received a diagnosis of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma when he was promoting Jurassic World Dominion, the series' climax. His chemotherapy didn't work, so he switched to a "new chemotherapy medicine" and will keep taking it every month for the remainder of his life. The actor has recovered from cancer.
I can't deny that the last year hasn't had its share of sad times, Sam admits. But, those sad times bring the brightness into clear focus and have made me very thankful for all of my friends as well as for every day. Just grateful to be alive.
Also, he said that he "never had any goal to create a book," but that once he started doing so, he discovered that he liked writing about his many life experiences.
