Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga: Hansal Mehta Reveals Third Episode of Sahara Honcho Scam Series

The third installment of director Hansal Mehta’s critically acclaimed television series Scam, dubbed Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga, was unveiled on Thursday. It is based on the life of industrialist Subrata Roy. Applause Entertainment and Studio Next will collaborate to develop the Sony LIV series, which will be directed by Mehta and based on Tamal Bandyopadhyay’s book Sahara: The Untold Story. Roy’s journey from dust to diamonds is told in Scam 2010. Roy was the target of several allegations in the early 2000s, which included anything from phony investors to chit-fund manipulation. This finally led to his imprisonment in 2014. The effects of the fraud are still being felt today, with an estimated Rs 25,000 crore languishing unclaimed with government officials, according to a press statement from the producers.

For me, Scam is more than simply a franchise. It is a history of our era. Mehta released a statement saying, “I’m excited to work with Applause and Sony LIV once more to bring this incredible story to life.” The critically praised first and second parts of Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Scam 2003: The Telgi Story are followed by the current season.

Scam series have become a popular cultural phenomenon, according to Sameer Nair, Managing Director of Applause Entertainment. “We are ready to set the bar even higher with ‘Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga,’ providing audiences with an immersive journey into the life and times of one of the most daring and ambitious minds in Indian business history,” Nair said.

SonyLIV’s Danish Khan expressed their happiness about working with Mehta and Applause Entertainment on the next Scam series. We are certain that the third edition will set new standards for captivating narrative since the series has continuously been the most watched franchise on Sony LIV, according to Khan. Mehta has not yet revealed the cast.

In the meantime, Hansal Mehta’s much-awaited series “Gandhi” on Applause Entertainment will shortly include Harry Potter actor Tom Felton. The multinational cast of the program, who will all be playing key parts, was just revealed by the producers.

Tom Felton, renowned for his legendary role in the Harry Potter books, is leading the way. Felton is joined in the cast by Libby Mai, Simon Lennon, Jonno Davies, Lindon Alexander, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, and a host of other people. Pratik Gandhi, who is very gifted, is at the head of this film project, playing the famous role of Gandhi.

Gandhi, directed by Hansal Mehta, is now under production.
