After a four-year absence, Shah Rukh Khan will make a big screen comeback with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan. Nearly 25 single-screen theaters in India that were previously closed will experience the enchantment of the celebrity once again thanks to the movie. As Pathaan debuts on January 25, it will be their first opening picture.
Pathaan, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, brings Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh back together. John Abraham plays the lead in it as well. The protagonist of the narrative returns to duty to destroy an Indian terrorist organization.
Following a significant amount of advance reservations, Taran Adarsh, a film industry expert, tweeted, "'PATHAAN' REVIVES SINGLE SCREENS... According to the fantastic advance reservations, #Pathaan is ready to revitalize the theatre industry. Most crucially, given the tremendous hype, up to 25 single screens throughout #India will reopen this week with #Pathaan.
Atul Mohan, a different trade expert, had earlier said that 90,000 tickets had been sold overall on the first day of pre sales. He claims that as of January 19 at 9 p.m., PVR had sold 35,000 tickets, INOX had sold 30,000, and Cinepolis had sold 25,000. "The tendency is that advance reservations are at their best on the first day, and then it peaks on the day before release," he told Hindustan Times. It is fair to assume that the shows are excellent. Pathaan is now playing on four out of every five screens at most venues, including Cinepolis, PVR, and INOX, etc.
Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are where the majority of the 25 single-screen theaters are found. These include the Rajkaran Cinema in Allahabad and the Gem Cinema in Jaipur. Pathaan will also be shown at Mulund's Carnival R Mall in Mumbai. Jyoti Cinema in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and Cinekamla Ponda in Goa are two other theaters that are being renovated.
According to previous reports, seats for Pathaan have been sold for 15 crore. When the movie opens on its first day, experts predict that it will bring in between 35 and 40 crore. Additionally, it's anticipated to earn between 150 and 200 crores in India during the first weekend and 300 crores globally.
In a special cameo appearance in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, Shah Rukh was most recently seen. Zero, however, continues to be his final feature picture. He appeared in the 2018 film with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Zero, which Aanand L Rai directed, had a terrible box office performance. At the Pathaan premiere, the trailer for Salman Khan's forthcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be shown.
