Siddharth Anand acknowledges he can no longer produce “regular” films and that he was tired of doing rom-coms

Bubbly Siddharth Anand, who is now enjoying the success of his most recent film, Fighter, recently said that he was tired of the romantic comedy genre and that he doubted he would try it again.

Speaking with Pinkvilla, the Pathaan filmmaker said that he is now unable to produce a “regular” film. He continued by saying that he became tired with this genre after making Anjaana Anjaani and went on to action-thriller dramas like War, Pathaan, and now Fighter.
Deepika Padukone costarred with Hrithik Roshan in the film “Fighter,” which debuted on January 25 and has since received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and praise from the public.
Fans are thus expecting that “Fighter” will become a franchise and that there will be a sequel to the movie.

Siddharth responded to this idea in the same interview, stating that he feels anxious when he has to produce part twos. He continued by saying that he prefers to avoid doing sequels, making him one of the filmmakers who hasn’t yet done so. But never say never, Anand said. Thus, the audience’s affection will determine the course of action. It’s just been three or four days since the release, and he already has some fantastic ideas for “Fighter 2” that he wants to write down.
Siddharth went on to say that he is now more interested in developing original characters and tales than he is in doing sequels. In sequels, a filmmaker may get too comfortable and begin to depend too much on nostalgia. The filmmaker would feel stuck and would enter a comfort zone if he did that. Anand made it clear that he want to avoid being comfortable.
Karan Singh Grover and Anil Kapoor co-star in “Fighter.” The sequel to “WAR,” which Siddharth previously directed for Hrithik Roshan, is now in production, although Siddharth is not directing it. According to reports, Ayan Mukerji will helm the Hrithik Roshan project, which will also star Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
