Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfulfilled dream is revealed by Mukesh Chhabra, who also addresses myths about his “arrogance”

Despite the untimely passing of actor Sushant Singh Rajput more than three years ago, his notoriety and influence on fans and the film business remain of great significance. When word of Sushant’s collaboration with the legendary Shekhar Kapur on the film “Paani” first surfaced in the early years of the previous decade, his fans were filled with expectation. Sushant is known for his unwavering commitment to the roles he embraces. Despite receiving attention as early as 2013, the grandiose project was ultimately abandoned.

Currently, Sushant’s enthusiasm for “Paani” has been revealed by Mukesh Chhabra, the casting director who helmed Sushant’s last film, “Dil Bechara.” Chhabra said that Sushant turned down a number of opportunities to prioritize the movie, a decision that some people mistook for “arrogance” since Sushant denied multiple incentives in favor of doing so.

At the Art of Acting debate tour in the US, Mukesh Chhabra noted, “He turned down so many films because of ‘Paani.'” People believed that because of his newfound fame, he had become conceited. However, he was truly thrilled and enthusiastic about the movie.

“Shekhar Kapur is the person everyone wants to work with. He was announced for the movie when I was present. The news made him feel like a youngster again. Sadly, the movie never happened,” Mukesh Chhabra said.

Shekhar Kapur acknowledged Sushant’s enthusiasm for the project in an interview with Film Companion South last year and said that the actor cried when the film was shelved. Shekhar Kapur has said that if the movie is ever made, he plans to dedicate it to the late actor’s memory.

‘Paani’ explores issues relating to the climate problem and is said to take place in the very near future. At one point, attempts were made to get John Travolta on board as a co-star.

“Paani is my next film,” Kapur had tweeted after deciding on “Paani” as his project in 2013. The complexity and importance of it are so great that I lack the energy for anything else.#Paani is not only a movie. It is a task. Yes, there are challenges along its path, but nothing or anybody can halt its progress.

Sushant was the perfect choice for the character provided to him in “Paani,” Kapur had emphasized in a previous chat with WION. He was a little celebrity. Someone who wasn’t a huge celebrity was what I needed. who develops during the movie and whom you learn more about. Therefore, I’ll look for someone similar. What a shame.

Actually, it is a lot more difficult. It took three or four years from the time Yash Raj and Sushant split up till his death. I had already departed and was engaged in other activities at that point. Sushant was ideal at that particular moment.
