Taylor Swift is the only living artist in over 60 years to have four albums in the top ten of Billboard

By breaking Barbra Streisand’s record for the most number-one albums in history, Taylor Swift has created history. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), her most recent release and a re-recording of her 2010 album, became her 12th album to debut at the top of the Billboard list. Drake and Swift are now tied for the record for the most No. 1 albums. She still falls short of the Beatles’ incredible 19 albums and Jay-Z’s record of 14 number-one albums.

Not only does the pop singer’s album take the top place on the Billboard 200 list, but her three prior albums, Midnights, Folklore, and Lover, still retain solid positions in the top 10. With four albums in the top 10, Swift becomes the first living artist in over 60 years to do so.

Herb Alpert, who had four albums in the top 10, including Going Places, Whipped Cream & Other Delights, South of the Border, and The Lonely Bull, was the last live musician to accomplish this accomplishment in 1966, according to Billboard. The late Prince, who had five albums that reached the top 10 after his death in 2016, was the only other performer to achieve success before Herb Alpert and Taylor Swift.

According to reports, Morgan Wallen’s previous record was surpassed by Taylor Swift’s album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), which has so far sold an incredible 716,000 copies. In its first week, the album One Thing at a Time by Wallen had sales of 501,000 copies.

Swift made a commitment to redo her first six albums. The vocalist is able to assert ownership and control over her music by this calculated maneuver, which is a crucial component of an artist’s creative and commercial rights. Fearless & Red, Taylor Swift’s latest album, has already been redone.

On July 7, Taylor Swift held a party in Kansas City as part of her Eras Tour to mark the debut of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The album’s From the Vault tune, I Can See You, had its music video debut at the occasion. Taylor Lautner, Joey King, and Presley Cash, Swift’s three co-stars from the song video, joined her.
