The Shah Rukh Khan–Aryan Khan lawsuit is dubbed the’smallest’ of Sameer Wankhede’s life

Officer Sameer Wankhede of the Indian Revenue Service, who is being investigated for a number of purported financial and procedural issues, recently spoke about his claimed meetings with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In 2021, Wankhede oversaw the squad that detained Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh, on drug-related offenses.

Before being freed on bond, Aryan was imprisoned for over a month.
Wankhede called this “the smallest case of (his) life” in a recent interview with The Lallantop, claiming he was unaware of Shah Rukh’s level of fame. In addition, he said that he had “no regrets” at all and that, if given the opportunity to resume his career—he is already on trial for allegedly extorting money from Shah Rukh and laundering it—he “would do it all again.” Is Shah Rukh Khan receiving a warning for this, the interviewer questioned? Wankhede said, “No, I’m a small man,” in Hindi. Who am I to issue warnings to? I don’t really watch a lot of movies, so I’m not even familiar with the names of the people you are talking about.

Alleged conversations that Wankhede had with Shah Rukh were made public during the legal procedures against him. One of these messages seemed to be an entreaty from Shah Rukh to Wankhede to save Aryan. Shah Rukh reportedly wrote, “I beg you as a father, please don’t let him be in that jail.” He is going to break as a person. Wankhede said, “I don’t want to talk about this man, but anytime you take action (in cases like this) and parents reach out to you, you feel bad about it,” when questioned about these purported conversations. particularly if the individual uses drugs or has a drug problem. You want them to go to treatment because, above all, you feel horrible about them. Unless, of course, we are discussing criminals who have become hardened.”
Wankhede refrained from going into detail about his private conversations with Shah Rukh, citing his statement to the High Court. Wankhede displayed his sense of humour when he asked a playful inquiry about which “Aryan” journalist during the interview. Wankhede reaffirmed his lack of remorse and desire to stand by his conduct if given another opportunity, despite the issues surrounding him and the end of his stint with the NCB after being removed from the Aryan Khan case. In 2022, Aryan Khan was found not guilty of any crimes.
The son of SRK, Aryan, was cleared of all charges despite being accused of narcotics possession. Earlier, Sameer Wankhede, the investigating officer in Aryan’s case, called a phrase from Salman Khan’s film Jawan (Bete ko haath lagane se pehle Baap se baat kar) that was purportedly directed at him “roadside.” Sameer discussed his thoughts on the debate in an interview with MensXP, calling it pretty tacky. He said that he wasn’t familiar with this particular movie since he doesn’t usually watch movies or pay attention to conversation. Still, if the conversation was directed at him, he expressed a desire to reply in English.
Inspired by another author, Sameer made reference to past participation in acts that resulted in homes and bridges being set on fire. He underlined that there should be no fear of the repercussions and implied that intimidation is unnecessary.
That being said, Sameer highlighted the case’s legal status rather than getting into specifics regarding the current legal dispute. When questioned about his previous dealings with Shah Rukh Khan, he said that they had always been cordial. “We had nice contacts in the past, but I can’t talk about the matter right now. We were quite well acquainted,” he said.
