After shooting for a few days, I was fired from the film. As an actor, it feels bad when you are thrown out of a film, but when I saw 'Mr India' and saw Amrish Puri ji's work as Mogambo, I realized that the filmmakers made Amrish Puri. Took the right decision by casting.

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan will star in the upcoming romantic thriller 'Freddie'. The film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, will be launched in Mumbai from today. The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms) and Jai Shevkarmani (Northern Lights Films).

The romantic-thriller is said to be full of tremendous twists. The characters of the film are all set to take the movie buffs on a dark and thrilling roller-coaster ride. Excited about the film, Kartik said, "As an actor, I crave to explore different aspects of entertainment and with 'Freddie', I am entering an unknown territory, which is exciting in equal measures. And it's both tricky."

The actor also said that he is looking forward to doing the romantic thriller.

He further added, "I am looking forward to being in Freddy's world and doing this dark romantic thriller. This is also my first contract with a visionary and creative producer like Ekta Kapoor. Nothing could have been better than this."

Shashank, who has directed films like 'Khoobsurat' and 'Veere Di Wedding', also spoke about the project and said that it is going to be one of the "best thrilling cinematic experiences" for the audience.

'Freddie' is Ekta and Shashank's second film after the hit flick 'Veere Di Wedding', their first film released in 2018.

Apart from 'Freddie', Kartik has Ram Madhvani's 'Dhamaka', Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and Hansal Mehta's 'Captain India'. Karthik will also be seen in the film directed by Sameer Vidwans, which was earlier titled 'Satyanarayana Ki Katha'.
