Varisu box office: Vijay's film reaches the $250 million mark in 11 days

Varisu, the newest film by actor Vijay, has done very well at the box office. Vamshi Paidipally's film has made over 250 crore globally in only 11 days. On Monday, the film's producers turned to Twitter to reveal a banner that proved the film had grossed more than Rs 250 crore.
Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Shaam, Srikanth, and Jayasudha all play important parts in Varisu. The film was dubbed and distributed in Hindi as well.
Varisu, a family drama starring Vijay, is about the youngest son taking over his father's business empire while facing severe resistance from his two older brothers. The film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, also marked Vijay's Telugu debut, since it was filmed in the language alongside its Tamil counterpart.
Despite being released on the same day as Ajith's Thunivu, Varisu performed well at the box office and finally emerged as the box-office winner.
Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally was chastised last week for his aggressive response to criticism that the picture had a strong daily serial hangover. In an interview with Cinema Vikatan, Vamshi inquired whether critics recognize and comprehend the labour that goes into creating films. Many individuals on social media were vehemently opposed to his reaction.
"You know how difficult it is to create a film these days? Do you realize how hard a crew works to make a film work? You know how much effort individuals put in to amuse audiences? It's not a joke, brother. "Every filmmaker makes so many sacrifices," Vamshi stated.
Vamshi also praised his idol, Vijay, for putting in so much effort to prepare his dances and phrases for the film. While commenting on the fact that the film seems like a serial for some, Vamshi said that people should not denigrate TV serials since they keep so many people entertained at home.
