Varun Mitra, star of “Rakshak: India’s Braves,” meets Lieutenant Triveni Singh’s family

In “Rakshak: India’s Braves,” actor Varun Mitra, who plays Lieutenant Triveni Singh, recently visited with Lieutenant Triveni Singh’s family. Lieutenant Triveni Singh bravely battled terrorists at Jammu Tawi train station and protected more than 300 people who were there. He was killed while doing his job.

The discussion between Varun and the family of the Ashok Chakra recipient focused on their opinions on Singh as a person and on his path to become a soldier in the Indian Army. Triveni Singh’s mother expressed their feelings about the film being created on their son by saying, “Main bahut proud feel kar rahi hoon, sabhi ki picture nahi banti.”

Lieutenant Triveni Singh’s mother admitted during the interview that no one in the family knew he had enlisted for the army, and when she questioned her son, he said, “Mummy, saare select nahi hote na, jab select ho jaounga tab bata dunga.”

Varun Mitra continued by saying that the more he learned about Triveni Singh, the more he questioned his ability to do the character justice. He described Triveni Singh as being unselfish, saying, “Woh log hi alag hote hai, unke andar kuch aur hi mitti hoti hai.”

Lt. Singh was chosen for the navy, but according to his sister, his father didn’t want him to join; instead, he was sent to the Agricultural University, where he completed his B.Sc. with Honors. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Indian Army. She went on to say that her brother was known as “Tom Cruise” at his university due to his good looks, and she said she was astounded to find him dressed as a soldier.

He was a selfless guy who consistently put the safety and sovereignty of the nation first, according to his family, who also made it clear. Singh’s family was getting ready for his wedding back at home without being informed of the tragedy. They were notified of the tragic occurrence at the Jammu Tawi station when preparations were in full swing and laughing could be heard around the house.

In an interview, Varun Mitra, who plays Lt. Triveni Singh on-screen, expressed his feelings, saying, “It is really difficult to put into words my emotional condition as we travelled from Patiala to Pathankot to visit the family. Everyone was kind and hospitable. It had a positive vibe. Everyone mentioned how Triveni Sir and I are quite alike. His mother said that our eyes had a striking resemblance as well as a comparable demeanor and enthusiasm.

He added, “His mother and sister also said, ‘You maybe thinking that the producer and director have cast you, but truth be told, everyone from the cast and crew has been selected by Triveni.’ Tumhe lagta hai ki Tumhe producer ya director ne select kiya hai aisa nahi hai jitne bhi log is crew ya casting mai hai. and it really made me feel a bunch of different things.

Along with Varun Mitra in the major role, the film also stars Kanika Mann, Mrinal Naval, Mrinal Kulkarni, and Mohit Chauhan and is directed by Akshay Chaubey and produced by Juggernaut. You may see it streamed on Amazon Mini TV.
