When Anand Ahuja decorates his London house with balloons and presents, Sonam Kapoor remarks that he "has excelled himself"

Sonam Kapoor shared a peek of her Mother's Day party at her London home on Sunday through Instagram Stories. The actress recently visited the UK, where March 19 is Mother's Day, together with her husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. Sonam posted a video of the books that Anand gave her on the occasion, as well as a scene of her room being decked with silver foil balloons. She also uploaded pictures of her presents.

Sonam tweeted, "Best husband in the world, Anand Ahuja," with a video of their bedroom that Anand Ahuja designed. Silver foil balloons with the word "mother" printed on them were laid on Sonam's bed together with other presents, while heart-shaped balloons could be seen in a corner next to the bed.

The actor also uploaded a video of him opening one of her presents, a special edition of The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare. She referred to the book in the video as "wonderful" while saying it. On Instagram Stories, Sonam commented alongside the video, "Best present to give me are books." Sonam also showered Anand with affection in a string of Instagram Stories. She wrote, "First Mother's Day for me! Moreover, Anand Ahuja has excelled. I adore you, darling."

Sonam and Anand wed on May 8, 2018, after a couple years of dating. On August 20, 2022, they welcomed their son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. His birthplace was Mumbai. The star came to the city after getting married and currently resides in London with her family. Sonam divides her time between Mumbai and London.

Sonam's most recent appearance was in the Vikramaditya Motwane-helmed Netflix movie AK vs. AK (2020). In the thriller, Sonam appeared with her brother Harshvardhan Kapoor and father star Anil Kapoor. In it, Anil and Anurag Kashyap portray fictionalized versions of themselves. Sonam's next appearance will be in the Hindi movie Blind, in which she portrays a blind policewoman on the hunt for a serial murderer. Directed by Shome Makhija, the film's filming was concluded in 2021.
