Why Kiran Rao Turned Down Aamir Khan’s Laapataa Ladies Audition: “His Exam Was Quite…,”

After a long wait, Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies is now available for viewing in theaters. Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, Nitanshi Goel, and Ravi Kishan play important parts in the comedy-drama. Aamir has previously said that Kiran had turned down his audition for the part of Ravi. Kiran recently discussed her reasoning for deeming Aamir unsuitable for the movie in an interview.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Kiran said, “I believe he accepted that decision and was very supportive of it.” It was decided upon after much deliberation. As you can see, Aamir will draw in the crowd. It would significantly alter the box office performance of a modest movie such as this one. Aamir would have been a huge assistance in that regard since this movie was intended for a broad audience, including all the villages and small towns.

He may have discovered the ideal notes for this persona and all the others, but celebrity is a difficult thing to shake. Since the persona he’s portraying is very ambiguous, the intention was to keep you in the dark about what this character would ultimately do. If it had been Aamir, it would have been considerably more difficult to maintain the surprise and unpredictability of Manohar’s persona, the speaker said. “It was a very enjoyable and engaging exam for him. Indeed, we ought to release it as a BTS one day, Kiran said.

On Friday, March 1, Laapataa Ladies was ultimately made available in theaters. Good reviews have greeted the movie’s premiere. News18 Showsha awarded the movie four stars, and our assessment said, “Laapataa Ladies is a film that people of all genders should enjoy.” Rao’s picture is an obvious winner and comes off as refreshing in this season of big-screen, larger-than-life entertainment.

Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions produced the movie, which was directed by Kiran Rao. JioStudios is presenting the movie, which is based on an award-winning narrative by Biplab Goswami. Sneha Desai wrote the script and dialogue, while Divyanidhi Sharma wrote the remaining dialogue.
