Winner of "Bigg Boss 16," MC Stan, explains to Kapil Sharma how rap music first captured his attention

Famous rapper MC Stan recalls his path in the music business and how he built his name in Hollywood. The native of Pune, Maharashtra, fell in love with music after hearing Qawwali performed at his house, and after releasing his first track, "Wata," in 2018, he never looked back.

He revealed: "When I was a little boy, I have listened to qawwali often since my father used to play them nonstop. Even the kind of music being produced in other countries was unknown to me. Later I discovered the rap culture, where I overheard individuals speaking English phrases rather quickly. Somehow I connected with it and thought it was awesome."

The "Bigg Boss 16" champion, who is renowned for his distinctive clothing choices and hairstyles, went on to discuss his relationship with rap music and his ideas for popularising it in India.

"Because rap was born out of the struggles of black people to escape poverty, I could truly identify to it. I thus considered doing it in Hindi, my mother tongue, and rapping about my origins and ideals "Added he.

MC Stan made an appearance on "The Kapil Sharma Show" with well-known online celebrities Harsh Gujaral, Dolly Singh, and Bhuvan Bam. During the performance, MC Stan discussed the inspiration for one of his well-known songs, "Khuja Mat," and how it came to be.

He revealed: "The song was not the result of such an idea. My buddy and I were engaged in a feud, so we started rapping. We made fun of one another competitively. I decided to bash him in this rap that I made."

On Sony Entertainment Television, "The Kapil Sharma Show" is shown.
