With Dootha on Amazon Prime, Naga Chaitanya will make his OTT debut

The much anticipated online series Dootha, helmed by Vikram K Kumar and starring Naga Chaitanya, is set to launch on Prime Video on December 1. With this program, Amazon Prime Video is taking a risky move after experiencing repeated setbacks while attempting to produce original Telugu content, investing a huge budget of Rs 40 crore. Their aim is to rival Netflix by offering excellent localized content.

Throughout his career, Naga Chaitanya has consistently delivered blockbuster hits, followed by a run of underperforming movies, and then another one. He’s going through a difficult time right now since films like Custody and Thank You aren’t doing well. He is working on a big production, however, which is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and stars Sai Pallavi. In the middle of all of this, he is also introducing Dootha, a criminal thriller starring Parvathi T, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, and Tharun Bhascker, among others.

If Dootha is well received by the OTT audience, it might provide Naga Chaitanya with much-needed respite till his next film, which he is working on alongside Chandoo Mondeti, is out.

The film Custody, starring Venkat Prabhu, was Naga Chaitanya’s final performance and did not do well at the box office. The actor has not disclosed the title of his next movie since the film’s May release and has been mostly silent since then. The Telugu actor shared on Instagram that he has been practicing acting, which piqued fans’ interest in his actions.

Recently, Naga Chaitanya shared photos of herself with a bunch of people on Instagram. It seems like he visited a Pondicherry theatrical company and spent some time honing his acting skills based on the pictures and the persons he tagged. In addition, the actor shared views of a gorgeous wooden building tucked away in a natural setting while posing with a group of theater professionals.

Custody and Thank You, two of Naga Chaitanya’s most recent flicks, were not well received at the box office. Despite great hopes, Custody, which was released in Tamil and Telugu, barely brought in Rs 26.8 crore. Now, with his upcoming film, the actor is looking forward to making a big return.
