5 gooseberries, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 4 green chilies, 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder, salt to taste, and 3 tsp mustard oil.
Put gooseberry in a cooker and bring it to a boil. Grind gooseberry and green chilies.
Heat oil in a pan, when the oil becomes hot, add asafoetida and mustard seeds.
When the mustard seeds are roasted, add the amla-chili paste and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Add salt as per taste.
Keep it in an airtight container when it cools down.
