31,923 Palestinians have died in Gaza, according to the Ministry

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed in the continuing Israeli assaults in the Gaza Strip has grown to 31,923, with 74,096 more injured.

The Ministry announced in a news release on Wednesday that the Israeli army had killed 104 Palestinians and injured 162 others in the previous twenty-four hours.

Israeli aircraft conducted dozens of attacks on different locations from the far north of the enclave to its south, mostly hitting residences and apartments, according to Palestinian sources and eyewitnesses, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.

According to the reports, the Israeli army carried out its military operation at the Al-Shifa Medical Complex for the third day in a succession, resulting in the deaths of dozens and the detention of others.

In a press statement released on Wednesday, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said that Israeli forces and the Shin Bet security agency were fighting a precision battle inside the medical facility without endangering patients, staff members, or medical equipment.

Adraee said that more than 300 people were questioned at the compound, 160 of whom were moved for further investigations, and that the troops had killed over 90 “saboteurs.”

Furthermore, the spokesman verified that operations were conducted to destroy “saboteurs” in the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis and the central strip.

In retaliation for Hamas’s October 7, 2023, assault on the southern Israeli border, during which over 200 people were held captive and around 1,200 people were murdered, Israel has been waging a massive attack against Hamas in Gaza.
