6.4-magnitude earthquake in San Juan province of Argentina, tremors felt in Chile as well

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake (Earthquake) has occurred in the South American country Argentina. According to the information, the earthquake came on Monday night in San Juan province of here. This information has been given by the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ). At the same time, the American Tsunami Warning System has said that no tsunami warning has been issued due to the earthquake.
However, so far there has been no news of loss of any kind of property. Northwest Argentina adjoins Chile, so tremors have been felt here as well. The US Department of Geological Survey has reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 27.6 km southwest of Porcito. The earthquake came at a depth of 14 kilometers.

Recently, there was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia. Which destroyed many houses and buildings. The rescue operation has been intensified here. At least 81 people have died in this earthquake.
Raditya Jati, spokesperson of the National Disaster Response Agency, says that Majenu has been most affected by the earthquake on Mamuju city and Sulawesi island.
800 people injured
The spokesman says that 70 people have died in Mamuzu and 11 in Majene. Around 27,850 people are currently living in the shelter. Half of the 800 people injured are currently being treated in the hospital.
During their stay here, other facilities including water, food and electricity are also being provided. It is being said that more than 1100 houses have also been damaged by the earthquake. The assessment of the damage caused by the earthquake is still going on.
