After the ship was taken, the US Navy claims that two ballistic missiles from Houthi-held Yemen shot close to the USS Mason

The US Navy reported on Monday that two ballistic missiles launched from Houthi-controlled Yemen approached a US warship after it assisted a tanker that had been apprehended in the Gulf of Aden, increasing the stakes in the context of a string of ship strikes connected to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The USS Mason was assisting the tanker Central Park when the missiles landed in the ocean around 10 miles (16 kilometers) away from the ship, according to a statement from US Central Command.

Central Command said, “No damage or reported injuries from either vessel during this incident.”

The strike was not acknowledged by the Houthis right away.

Additionally, Central Command said that it had captured five armed assailants who had attacked Central Park.
