Case filed for 4 people in connection with attack on President Jackson's statue

Washington: Four people have been booked near the White House in connection with an unsuccessful attempt to remove the statue of former President Andrew Jackson last week. Officials alleged in a complaint on Saturday that they had found their way to Lafayette Square on Monday Jackson's statue was damaged and tried to be removed. After George Floyd died in police custody in Minneapolis, it became a square demonstration site.

Those charged include Lee Michael Cantrell (47) of Virginia, Matthew Judd (20) of Washington, Ryan Lane (37) of Maryland and Graham Lloyd (37) of Maine. Jude was arrested on Friday and appeared in the District of Columbia court on Saturday. The remaining three have not been caught yet. The FBI and US Park Police are investigating the incident.
