The director of the Ministry’s communications and public services division, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said on Tuesday that there were 51 verified cases in all, including 30 patients who had recovered.

With 38 instances, including 23 recoveries, the capital Jakarta—which is regarded as a special province—has the highest number of cases. There were further instances found in Banten (5), Riau (1), East Java (1), and West Java (6).

Tarmizi further said that syphilis and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) were present in certain instances.

The minimum amount of vaccination shots is impeding efforts to prevent future cases, according to Xinhua news agency.

On October 13, a citizen of Indonesia who had recently returned from a tour to many different places was the first person to have monkeypox this year.

If treatments are not implemented, epidemiologists predict that the number of cases might increase to 3,600 cases year.
