David Cameron says the UK will look at imposing extra sanctions against Iran

Following Iran’s drone and missile strikes on Israel, Foreign Minister David Cameron indicated on Monday that Britain would seek more sanctions on the country.

Cameron responded to a question about more sanctions on Iran by the BBC by saying, “Yes, absolutely.” Iran is already subject to 400 sanctions. At the end of last year, we implemented a whole new sanctions system that is working really well.

“We’ve sanctioned the IRGC, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in its entirety, and we’ll continue to look at what further steps we can take,” he said.

Additionally, he said that Britain will continue to consider whether to outlaw the IRGC.
