Deferred PPP and PML-N parleys on power sharing

A media source states that a meeting between the coordination committees of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to finalize government formation in the Center has been postponed. The meeting was scheduled for this Friday.

According to Geo News, the PML-N committee has not yet spoken with the party’s top leadership on the subject, which is why the meeting was apparently postponed. It said that the two parties would have their second round of negotiations on Saturday to determine how they will share power in the event that a coalition government is formed.

As long as Nawaz Sharif’s party supports them in elections for important constitutional positions like the President, the PML-N will have the backing of the PPP, headed by Bilawal Bhutto and Zardari, in both the formation of a government and the selection of the next prime minister.
