Following “VP” chants from supporters as they greet Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump says

Indian-American businessman Vivek Ramaswamy was warmly welcomed by Donald Trump’s followers the day after he announced his withdrawal from the 2024 US presidential election, and he also praised his erstwhile opponent and former US president.

Cries of “VP, VP, VP” erupted as the 38-year-old Republican, who had withdrawn, joined Trump on stage. The Republican had departed after failing to leave his imprint in the first US election test in Iowa.

Trump praised his old opponent Ramaswamy, calling him a “friend” and a “true leader”. After a quick embrace and handshake, Ramaswamy passionately urged people to vote Trump in the presidential election.

I fully support him for the president going forward, and I believe we will act in the best interests of our nation. In this race, this guy is the best option still available. A sincere Ramaswamy pleaded with the assembly, “And that is why I am asking you to do the right thing as New Hampshire and to vote for Donald J. Trump as your next president.”

The audience erupted with cries of “VP, VP” as the two leaders shook hands and Ramaswamy exited the stage, suggesting that the biotech entrepreneur may serve as Trump’s deputy.

Really nice, isn’t it? He is an amazing man who has something very unique. He will collaborate with us and do so for an extended period of time,” the former US president said.

Throughout his four indictments, including one for trying to rig the 2016 US elections, Ramaswamy has been one of Trump’s most steadfast defense attorneys. If Trump were elected president, Ramaswamy promised to pardon him on his first day in office.

But Ramaswamy may not be able to get a position in the White House as a result of Trump’s recent endorsement of the latter. According to a New York Post story that said Trump’s senior advisor Jason Miller, there was very little likelihood that Ramaswamy would be chosen as the former president’s running mate and the electorate could “probably rule him out.”

According to the story, he said, “Pretty safe to say it won’t be Vivek.”

Days before to the Iowa caucuses, the two Republicans’ relationship had strained when Trump attacked Ramaswamy, accusing him of “deceitful campaign tricks” while the latter’s campaign was distributing t-shirts with the slogan “Save Trump, Vote Vivek.”

It’s really cunning, but supporting Vivek means supporting the ‘other side.’ Don’t fall for it. Don’t squander your voteā€”vote for TRUMP! The 77-year-old said, “Vivek is not MAGA,” in a post on the social networking site Truth Social.
