Defending India's oil imports from Russia, Jaishankar stressed that it was important to understand how the Ukraine conflict was affecting developing countries. He also questioned why only India is being questioned, while Ukraine continues to import gas from Russia amid the war with Europe. Jaishankar had further said look, I do not want to argue. But I want to humbly say that if India is funding Ukraine war by buying oil from Russia. So the gas-buying countries of Europe are not funding.
