Israel-Hamas War: Israeli Defense Force Uses Drones to Attack a Hezbollah Cell in Lebanon

According to The Times of Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces claimed to have struck a Hezbollah cell in southern Lebanon with a drone attack. According to reports, the Hezbollah cell was preparing to strike an army position on the border with guided missile attacks intended to neutralize tanks.

In recent days, the IDF has escalated its airstrikes against Hezbollah terrorists who are plotting missile and rocket assaults on northern Israel.

The terror organization has identified 46 militants who were killed by Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon during the ongoing battle in the Gaza Strip. According to The Times of Israel, the IDF has also made footage of the most recent strike available.

The previous day, the Israel Defense Forces had verified that they had hit another terror cell in Southern Lebanon, close to the northern settlement of Zar’it. The IDF claims that the cell was the target of both an artillery barrage and a drone attack.

According to the Times of Israel, the leadership of Lebanon’s Hezbollah met on Tuesday with prominent figures from the Palestinian terrorist organizations Islamic Jihad and Hamas. The Israeli tabloid shared a picture of Islamic Jihad leader Ziad al-Nakhala with Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri and Hezbollah head Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on social network X.

“Among other topics, discussions regarding the appropriate measures that Resistance Axis members must take to reach a definite victory in Gaza and Palestine took place,” according to the screenshot of the tweet that was published in the newspaper.

The New York Times story claims that the name “Axis of Resistance” refers to a regional network of militias that are affiliated with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian militant organizations, and other forces.

Hezbollah has been operating freely against Israel along Lebanon’s border with Israel since the October 7 onslaught by Hamas terrorists from Gaza. They have been shooting rockets and anti-tank missiles against Israeli communities and army positions, and they have been opening fire on soldiers almost every day.

According to the Times of Israel, the IDF retaliated by attacking the terror group’s bases and cells in southern Lebanon.

Prior to the assault on southern Israel on October 7, Iran provided direct assistance to Hamas, according to IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari on Wednesday.

Hagari said during a news conference that “Iran directly aided Hamas before the war, with training, supplying weapons, money, and technological know-how.”

According to an IDF spokesman cited by Times of Israel, “Even now, Iranian aid to Hamas in the form of intelligence and online incitement against the State of Israel, continues.”

In the past, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Hossein Amir-Abdollahian issued a warning, stating that if Israel keeps bombarding Gaza, combat with it may break out on “other fronts.”
