Israeli strikes will increase in Gaza: military spokesman

An Israeli military spokesperson said during a news briefing on Saturday that Israel will immediately intensify its attacks in Gaza to put more pressure on Hamas.

“We must approach the next stage of the conflict under the best possible circumstances, not based on what anybody tells us. As of right now, we are stepping up our attacks while reducing the risk, said spokesperson Admiral Daniel Hagari during a news briefing.

His remarks were made shortly after the beleaguered Palestinian region of Gaza received its first humanitarian assistance since October 7 when it passed the Egyptian border.

On Saturday, military leaders in Israel paid a visit to front-line forces.

On a visit, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi informed one army unit, “Gaza is densely populated, the enemy is preparing a lot there—but we are also preparing for them.”
