Man kills his wife with a knife, cuts up his corpse into more than 200 pieces, and throws the parts into a river

Monday is the scheduled sentencing for 28-year-old Nicholas Metson of Shuttleworth House, Lincoln, who has confessed to the horrific murder of his wife.

He reportedly denied murdering his wife for over a year before entering a guilty plea.

According to a source, Metson killed his wife with a knife, dismembered her corpse into almost 200 pieces, and kept them in his kitchen for a week before disposing of them in a river with a friend’s assistance.

Nicholas Metson, dubbed a “evil monster,” killed his wife by stabbing her, dismembered her corpse into more than 200 pieces, and disposed of her body in a river a few days later, according to the BBC.

In March 2023, pieces of Holly Bramley’s corpse were discovered in the River Witham.

After keeping his wife’s body concealed in their apartment for over a week, he hired his friend Joshua Hancock to dispose of it, according to testimony given at Lincoln Crown Court.

His Honor Judge Simon Hirst was informed by the BBC that Metson never provided an explanation for how or why he murdered his wife at a sentence hearing on Friday.

The mother and siblings of Bramley presented victim impact statements in court, stating that the 26-year-old had been the victim of “coercive control and manipulation” by the “evil monster” and that their marriage had “broken down irretrievably”.

The court heard that while the couple had tied the knot in 2021, they were about to call it quits when Metson killed them.

Metson took £50 from his wife’s bank account after killing her, and he used the money to look up answers to queries like “What benefits do I get if my wife has died” and “Can someone haunt me after they die” online.

According to the BBC, the court heard that Metson had prior convictions for offenses against ex-partners in 2013, 2016, and 2017.
