Monkeypox increased havoc in America, more than 7 thousand people infected, and tension in India too
The US declared a public health emergency on Thursday regarding the rapidly spreading monkeypox, so that efforts could be intensified to deal with it. More than 7100 people have been affected by this disease in the country. This announcement will help raise federal funds and resources to combat this infectious disease. The symptoms of this disease are fever, body aches, chills, fatigue, and boils in many places on the body.
"We are ready to take our preparedness to deal with this virus to the next level and we urge every American to take monkeypox seriously," said Javier Becerra, head of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The announcement has been made amid criticism from the administration of US President Joe Biden over the availability. Health centers in big cities like New York and San Francisco say they have not received enough of these two-dose vaccines. Some even had to stop giving the second dose to ensure the supply of the first dose.
No one has died in America yet
Earlier, the White House said that it had provided more than 11 crore doses. No one has died of monkeypox in America so far. While cases of death have been reported in some other countries. Significantly, the cases of monkeypox that have been reported in Europe and North America are mostly of homosexual and bisexual men. However, health officials said that this virus can infect any person who is in physical contact with a patient or uses his clothes or bedsheets.
