NYC Shooting: Unidentified Suspects on a Scooter Kill One and Injure Several on East Mount Eden Avenue in the Bronx

Tuesday’s shooting on East Eden Avenue in the Bronx, New York, left at least three people injured and one person dead. The suspects, according to the NYPD, fired at least ten bullets at a group of individuals who were standing after arriving on a scooter while wearing masks. The incident took place locally around 6:15 p.m.

According to the NYPD, the dead victim was a male of 19 years old. After being shot in the leg and chest, he suffered serious injuries and was sent to the hospital. But he passed away from them upon route, and the hospital pronounced him dead. The ones that were injured were shot in the leg.

In a news conference held at the scene on Tuesday, NYPD Chief Benjamin Gurley gave the incident’s specifics. He continued by saying that the ages of all the victims ranged from 27 to 37.

“The offenders concealed their identity by donning hoodies and masks. Gurley said, “And then they took off on the scooters, heading north on Townsend Avenue in the direction of the Cross Bronx Expressway.”

As of right moment, the shooting’s motivation is still unknown. According to the NYPD, one person was apprehended in connection with the event, however as of right now, there is no clear connection between the detained individual and the shooting. The NYPD is also looking into any possible gang affiliations with the incident.
