Star of Ted Lasso Hannah Waddingham explains why she detests Tom Cruise naysayers

Tom Cruise’s yet another co-star is all praise for the actor. On Christmas Day, Hannah Waddingham, star of Ted Lasso, was a guest on James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV, where she discussed Tom Cruise. They will appear together in the follow-up to Mission Impossible-Dead Reckoning.

Hannah spoke about her “five intense days” during the film’s production with Tom Cruise. By the time it was all over, she had grown to love the actor so much that she said, “I have a real problem with anybody that goes at him now.”

He is without a doubt one of the most charming, upbeat, engaging, and encouraging people I have ever encountered. Isn’t he stunning? “I don’t have time for people to make comments about him,” she said.

Sayings of the ones who despise you?
Hannah was probably alluding to the constant backlash Tom gets because of his Scientology connections. Tom’s judgments, both personally and professionally, are believed to have been greatly influenced and maneuvered by the contentious “cult.” Tom’s explosive temper on movie sets is another well-known trait.

Even Emily Blunt recently reminisced about collaborating with Tom Cruise on the science fiction action movie Edge of Tomorrow, praising him both personally and as a performer for being remarkable and inspirational.

Tom Cruise review by Emily Blunt
Emily recently participated in a moderated conversation with Rob Marshall, the director of 2014’s Into the Woods and 2018’s Mary Poppins Returns, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Marshall reminded Blunt of her time spent working on Edge of Tomorrow with Tom, 61, during their talk. As two warriors in a near-future conflict between humanity and an extraterrestrial civilization, the two co-starred in the 2014 science fiction action movie.

When Emily Blunt spoke about training for the physically demanding job, she said that Tom Cruise, the star of action movies, “tightens the screws on everyone when it comes to what you think you’re capable of.”

She said, “He’s so inspiring and because he can do and wants to do everything, it makes you want to meet him where he is at.” To me, she seems like a doll. “He is really kind. Very adorable. How adorable, hehe. I cherished him. Yes. He was incredible,” she said. She also complimented Tom on including her in a number of the film’s production-related activities.

“We were sort of writing the third act as we went,” she said. And once again, sometimes the most brilliant films emerge from that mayhem. Additionally, I believe that I had the impression that it would be a guys’ club since Cruise included me in all writing meetings and decision-making processes.”
