Three top Hamas operatives in the Daraj Tuffah Battalion were hit by Israeli Defense Forces fighter planes, according to a post on the organization’s official X account. The battalion, which is regarded as the most important unit of the Hamas terrorist organization, was heavily involved in the invasion and deadly assault on Israel on October 7.

The Israel Security Agency Shin Bet provided accurate intelligence assistance that enabled the Israeli Air Forces to destroy the Hamas operatives.

“Using fighter jets, the IDF eliminated Rafat Abbas, the commander of the terrorist group Hamas’s Darj Tafah battalion, Ebrahim Jedeva, his deputy, and Tarek Maruf, the commander of combat and administrative assistance. The IDF did this under the precise intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet and the Amman. They are all three terrorists. Israeli Air Force veterans who took part in earlier wars against Israel, posted on X from their official account.

“The Gaza City Brigade, which is regarded as the most important brigade of the terrorist group Hamas, includes the Darj Tafah Battalion. The Israeli Air Force noted in its statement that “the terrorists from the battalion played a significant role in the murderous massacre on October 7.”

Shadi Barud, the deputy chief of Hamas’s intelligence bureau, was killed in an airstrike, the Israel Defense Forces claimed on Thursday.

He participated in the preparations for Hamas’s October 7 strike on Israel, according to the IDF.

“Shadi Barud, Deputy Head of Hamas’ Intelligence Directorate, has been eliminated by an IDF aerial strike,” the IDF announced from its X account. He was involved in the preparation of several additional murderous acts against Israelis, including the October 7 massacre. We’re going to keep hitting and killing Hamas officials and agents who are behind these heinous acts.”

A power pole in central Israel has caught fire after a missile fired from the Gaza Strip touched down close to a roadway. There have been reports of extensive power disruptions in the region.

The Times of Israel reports that doctors claim there have been no physical injuries.

The Israel Defence Forces will carry out ground operations into Gaza in the next days to be ready for the next phases of the current fight against Hamas, according to CNN, which was confirmed by IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari on Thursday.

According to CNN, Hagari said that Israel’s ground operations seek to eliminate Hamas militants, set the stage for a full-scale invasion, and neutralize explosive devices and reconnaissance sites.

His comments follow the IDF’s use of tanks in an overnight “targeted raid” in northern Gaza.

He claimed that the IDF is still hitting Gaza with air and naval assaults, with the main objectives being the destruction of key Hamas leaders and the organization’s infrastructure.
