India has 5,915 active infections and around 500 Covid cases each day

Around 500 Covid-19 instances were reported in India in a single day, which is a modest decrease from the previous one-day total. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 526 new cases were reported yesterday, bringing the overall number of active cases to 5,915—or 0.01% of all illnesses.

While 843 new infections were reported on Saturday, the greatest number in 126 days, there was a considerable increase in the number of Covid cases recorded in a single day. Earlier, one fatality from each of Jharkhand and Maharashtra was recorded; however, no fatalities have been confirmed as of yet today.

With 103 individuals afflicted with COVID-19, Maharashtra has the most active instances, while Sikkim and Ladakh each have one. The nation has received more than 220.65 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to the ministry's website.
