Jammu hosted training sessions for using VVPATs and EVMs

On Monday, female employees of the DC office of the model polling station attended a training session on operating electronic voting equipment (EVMs) and voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) equipment.

The goal of the training was to guarantee that female employees have the information and abilities needed to use these devices efficiently during the next Lok Sabha elections.

District Election Officer Harvinder Singh gave the workers a briefing on their important role in the electoral process and gave them instructions to make the most of the training program by putting it into practice for all of their election-related tasks.

An official said, “District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) and Assistant Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) conducted the training and gave participants full guidance in various aspects of the electoral process and operating EVM/VVPAT.”

According to the official, the training addressed a wide range of themes about the operation and upkeep of VVPATs and EVMs, such as how to test and set up the machines, how to resolve typical problems, and how crucial it is to preserve the security and integrity of the voting process. Additionally, the participants got to experience operating the equipment at a mock polling place.
