The Indian Navy, which is always deployed on the seafront, is celebrating its foundation day today. The Navy celebrates its Foundation Day every year on 4th December. On this occasion, all the officers of the Navy go to the War Memorial and pay tribute to the martyred soldiers. Apart from this, many types of programs are organized. On this day the whole world also gets to see the power of the Indian Navy. On the occasion of Navy Day, Prime Minister Modi, the Defense Minister, and all the celebrities have given their best wishes.
Praising the Navy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it has steadfastly protected the country and has carved a distinct identity with its humanitarian spirit even in difficult times. Navy Day is celebrated on December 4 to commemorate the achievements of the Navy in 'Operation Trident' during the Indo-Pak war of 1971.
The PM tweeted and said, Happy Navy Day to all naval personnel and their families. We Indians are proud of our rich maritime history. The Indian Navy has staunchly defended our nation and distinguished itself by its humanitarian spirit during challenging times.

Tribute to martyrs at National War Memorial
On the other hand, on this occasion, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, CDS General Anil Chauhan, IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, and Vice Army Chief Lieutenant General BS Raju paid tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial on the occasion of Navy Day.
The Navy will show strength
President Draupadi Murmu will attend other programs including Navy Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The Navy will show its strength through 'Operational Demonstration'. President Draupadi Murmu and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces will be present during this program.
