Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off the new version of the Vande Bharat Express train running between Gandhinagar and Mumbai. People have also started showing interest in this train. A Western Railway, WR official said that more than 96 percent of Vande Bharat Express seats were booked during its first commercial run between Mumbai and Gandhinagar stations on Saturday. The booking of this train started on Thursday itself.

96.37% of seats booked in the chair car
According to the report of news agency PTI, Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Western Railway Sumit Thakur said that out of a total of 1,123 seats in the Vande Bharat train, 1,086 seats were booked between Mumbai and Gandhinagar stations. That is, 96.70 percent of the seats on this train were booked. He said that during the first consignment between Mumbai and Gandhinagar, all executive chair car seats and 96.37 percent of seats in the train's chair car were booked.

All seats in the executive chair car booked
According to the information shared by Western Railway, WR, there are 1,123 seats in the Vande Bharat train, which includes 104 seats in the executive chair car and 1,019 seats in the chair car. Of these seats, all 104 seats in the executive chair car and 982 in the chair car were booked. This train will run six days a week except for Sundays. During the first run of the train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai stations on Friday, 313 passengers traveled in it.

This is the third Vande Bharat Express connecting the capital cities of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The first Vande Bharat Express train was introduced on the New Delhi-Varanasi route, while the second was introduced on the New Delhi and Mata Vaishno Devi Katra route. For the Gandhinagar Mumbai Central journey, passengers will have to pay Rs 1,275 for the chair car ticket and Rs 2,455 for an executive chair car ticket. The chair car ticket for Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar will cost Rs 1,440 while the executive chair car ticket will cost Rs 2,650.
