– Separation of the Chandrayaan-3 Lander from the Propulsion Module

Chandrayaan-3 project’s Lander Module (LM) successfully detached from its Propulsion Module in a major accomplishment, putting the mission on schedule for its planned soft landing on the surface of the moon on August 23.

The LM, which is made up of the Pragyan rover and the Vikram lander, is prepared to be dropped into an orbit that will bring the expedition closer to the moon. On August 23, at 5:47 p.m., a landing on the south pole of the moon is planned.

ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization, published on X, “Man, thanks for the trip! the Lander Module (LM) declared. LM and PM are successfully segregated from one another. LM is scheduled to deboost tomorrow at 1600 IST, after which it will go to a slightly lower orbit.

– More than China, India has three active spacecraft in lunar orbit.

India currently has three spacecraft in lunar orbit. The Vikram lander and propulsion module of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft have successfully detached. Other than these two, the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter is also active orbiting the moon, according to a report from India Today.

In addition to India, China, the United States, and Korea also have lunar missions in lunar orbit.

As Russia’s Luna-25 and India’s Chandrayaan-3 prepare for their landings slated for next week, the race to the moon is picking up speed.

Despite the fact that Chandrayaan-3 is slated to arrive on August 23–24 and Luna-25 may land between August 21–23, this has increased interest in these missions worldwide.

– Chandrayaan-3 of the ISRO completes its last lunar maneuver

Chandrayaan, India’s third moon mission, reached a new milestone on Wednesday as it successfully completed its final and fifth lunar orbit manoeuver, bringing the mission one step closer to the moon.

The spacecraft may now prepare for the separation of its Lander Module and Propulsion Module as a result of its accomplishment.

“Today’s successful firing, needed for a brief period, has placed Chandrayaan-3 into an orbit of 153 km x 163 km, as intended,” the ISRO said in a post on X. The lunar-bound maneuvers are finished with this. The Propulsion Module and the Lander Module are getting ready for their respective missions.

– Images of the Earth and Moon Taken by a Spacecraft’s Imager Are Shared by ISRO

Images of the Earth and Moon were uploaded by ISRO to X. The Lander Imager (LI) Camera photographed the Earth on the day of the launch, while the Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera (LHVC) photographed the moon on August 6, one day after the mission’s insertion into the lunar orbit.
