Actor O Yeong-Su from Squid Game was found guilty of sexual misconduct
Famous for his part in Squid Game, actor O Yeong-Su was found guilty of sexual assault after it was alleged that he kissed and held a woman’s cheek without her will.
The Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court condemned O to up to eight months in jail with a two-year suspension, according to Korean media cited by Deadline.
Allegations surfaced in 2022 that the 79-year-old had given a lady a hug and a peck on the cheek in 2017. He refuted the accusations, however.
He informed reporters that he will appeal the decision and undergo a 40-hour sexual offender treatment program on Friday after leaving the court.
O has alleged in the past that he led the lady around a lake by holding her hand. “I don’t accept the accusations; I just apologized because (the person) said she wouldn’t make a big deal out of it,” he added.
